TITANSORB®
INTRODUCTION
Revolutionary adsorbent for the removal of arsenic and heavy metals. TITANSORB® adsorbent is based on titanium dioxide and it has the best arsenic removal capacity in the market: up to 60 g/Kg, offering the longest life span than any other adsorbents. In addition, it operates completely free of regeneration and the disposal of depleted material is not hazardous.

Not only can TITANSORB® granules help split water in H+ and OH–, it can also make water filter Adsorbent hydrophilic – allowing water to flow easily through it, while adsorbing Arsenic, Lead, Selenium and other foreign contaminants, including bacteria making it perfect for purifying water. Thus a new super high capacity (adsorption) powered Adsorbent is developed. With the worlds’ Population expected to hit 8.3 billion by 2030, there will be a massive increase in the Global Demand for Adsorbents. All water and food need Arsenic, Lead, Selenium free drinking water. (See report on Global Adsorbent Market and Watch-Water is one of the major Adsorbent manufacturer.)

Titanium dioxide is a widely available compound that can be mined from minerals in the ground and is commonly found in food as whitening additives and in sunblock products. TITANSORB a new advanced Wonder Adsorbent that can remove Arsenic (III & V), Antimony, Cadmium, Copper, Chromium (VI), Lead, Zinc, Selenium, Uranium and many other heavy metals and produces Clean-Water. With its superior bacteria killing capabilities, it can also be used to kill bacteria in water. Watch-Water have succeeded in developing a high capacity, revolutionary Adsorbent that can do all the above mentioned at very low cost compared to other Titanium-oxide based existing technology.
This breakthrough, which has taken Watch-Water five years to develop the Double Capacity Titanium dioxide crystals into Patented Adsorbent. TITANSORB, such a low cost Adsorbent is expected to have immense potential to help tackle on going Global Adsorbent Market in Arsenic and Environmental issues of Arsenic Removal.
FREQUENTLY ASKED
QUESTIONS
TITANSORB is a patented, high-capacity adsorbent media made from titanium dioxide. It is manufactured in Germany to remove heavy metals like Arsenic, Lead, Selenium, Chromium (VI),Uranium and other contaminants from water, producing clean, safe water.
TITANSORB is highly effective at removing a wide range of harmful substances, including Arsenic (III), Arsenic (V), Lead, Selenium, Mercury, Cadmium, Copper, Chromium (VI), Uranium, Radium, Molybdenum, and Nickel.
The granules work by adsorbing (attracting and holding) contaminants onto their massive surface area. They are also hydrophilic, which allows water to flow through easily while adsorbing harmful metals and impurities.
TITANSORB has an exceptionally high loading capacity. It can adsorb 48-60 grams of Arsenic (V) per kilogram of Titansorb and 20-30 grams of Arsenic (III) per kilogram under specific laboratory conditions.
Pre-oxidation of Arsenic (III) to Arsenic (V) is recommended, as it increases adsorption capacity and allows Titansorb to perform with maximum efficiency. Under specific laboratory conditions, Titansorb achieves a loading capacity of 48–60 g of Arsenic (V) per kilogram of media, compared to 20–30 g of Arsenic (III) per kilogram. While Titansorb can adsorb both forms directly, pre-oxidation helps ensure longer media life.
TITANSORB operates effectively in a wide pH range. For the best arsenic adsorption results, an inlet water pH between 6.5 and 6.9 is recommended.
One of the main advantages of TITANSORB is its long service life and the fact that it requires no chemical regeneration. It is a single-use adsorbent that is simply replaced once exhausted, making system design straightforward and maintenance minimal. Thanks to its high loading capacity compared to conventional technologies, TITANSORB™ delivers a more economical and reliable solution for arsenic and heavy metal removal.
According to the brochure, spent TITANSORB media is not classified as hazardous waste and can be disposed of in a standard landfill in compliance with Environmental Protection Agency standards, making disposal easy and safe.
Yes, TITANSORB™ is certified to NSF/ANSI/CAN 61 standards, meaning it is certified for use in systems that treat drinking water.
Yes! Its extremely fast adsorption kinetics allow it to be made into cartridges for under-sink or other Point-of-Use (POU) filter applications.
TITANSORB is versatile and can be used for:
- Point-of-Use (POU) systems
- Point-of-Entry (POE) whole-house systems
- Municipal water treatment plants
- Industrial wastewater treatment
- Bottled and mineral water production
No. Boiling water does not remove arsenic. In fact, it makes the problem worse: as water evaporates, the concentration of arsenic and other non-volatile contaminants increases, making the water even more unsafe. The most effective and economical solution is using TITANSORB, a titanium-based adsorbent designed for arsenic removal in both Point of Use (POU) and Point of Entry (POE) applications.
Yes. TITANSORB-P is a unique crystalline powder form with a high surface area, designed to be easily integrated into carbon blocks to significantly enhance their arsenic adsorption capacity for all carbon block manufacturers.
TITANSORB has very fast kinetics, allowing for remarkably short EBCTs. An EBCT of as low as 30 seconds is absolutely acceptable, which allows for much smaller pressure vessels compared to other media. The standard operating conditions of Titansorb for EBCT is 30-180 seconds.
TITANSORB is manufactured by Watch Water GmbH in Germany, a world leader in adsorbent manufacturing for water purification solutions with a global presence.
