AMMONIUM SORB®

is WATCH special Filter media which is based on natural ion exchange properties. with a very high selctivity for ammonium. Exchange capacity is 42 grams of ammonium-N per 1kg of AMMONIUM SORB®. The effective exchange capacity when used in fresh water will range from approximatley 2 to 10 grams of ammonium-N per kg of AMMONIUM SORB®. You can use this media like our ULTRAFILTRATION SAND®. The Media absorbs ammonia and can be regenerated like strong acid cation. It also does softning, removes iron and manganese. It must be regenerated by passing a strong salt solution through the filter
